The Moment

The moment came,
Out of nowhere.
As I walked,
Into the town square.

No aim was there,
No need or desire.
Simply another day,
It was a perfect way.

Suddenly I saw all the people,
With different eyes.
All the shops and cars,
Filling their desires.

A drop fell from heaven,
Not of water like rain.
But a new light entered,
An awareness that we are all the same.

Ever expanding consciousness,
Senses feeding back to the same source.
Each an Individual,
Only in there mind.

Each heart seeking love,
Each body wanting warmth.
Each mind seeking answers,
To the life into which they are born.

A new day begins,
As the sun light touches the clouds.
Stars disappear,
With the golden light of dawn.

I stop walking for a moment,
As stillness overcomes me.
Laughter comes next,
As it had been there all along.

The biggest joke,
Has no meaning,
Except to fool ourselves,
Into believing.

That we are somehow separate,
Each with our own world.
Shaping the present moment,
With our endless goals.

Dropping all this stuff,
Surrendering to the now,
The present of infinity,
Awaits beyond this show.

It is not through any effort,
Not through prayer,
Nor selfish wishes,
Of a better place to go.

It is in this very moment,
A place just to be.
Beyond all illusions,
Before all dreams.

Comes a point of nothingness,
Nowhere to be at all.
Nothing to do,
No one to be.

Watcher the watcher,
Simply loving the whole world.
As it echoes in our hearts,
The sound of silence touches our souls.

And so it comes,
And so it goes.
So it is,
And so it shall forever be.

God seeing through you and me,
With love and grace.
This whole universe,
A reflection of divinity.

I stand at the threshold,
Of a new way of being.
Reborn to the innocence,
Of a child who cannot yet talk.

Without giving meanings,
Without needing understanding.
Simply absorbing,
Flowing back to the source.

The moment of enlightenment,
Comes when all hope is lost.
When there is no longer any goal,
Awareness arises from our soul.

The penny finally drops,
And where does it fall?
Into an ocean of silence,
Where its ripples meet the shore.

And so I stand there laughing,
At the biggest joke of all.
And as I start to walk again,
Without caring at all.

The flow of life surrounds me,
Energies swirl.
Each step a new adventure,
Moments awaiting my call.

To be here now,
With all my love.
And so it is,
Forever more.
